Study on the therapeutic effect of Formpoterol (Atock^(®)) in treatment of patients with airway obstruction

Abstract

|
Evaluation of the objective and subjective improvement in the 18 patients with airway obstruction were carried out to determine the benefits of newly developed oral /32 agonist, formoterol´ (Atock®). Rcutine spirometry was checked before and after administration of form oterof 40μg twice a day for 7 days, and subjective symptomatic improvement was also evaluated during this period. There were significant im
provements in FVC, FEF 200-1200, PEFR after formoterol administration (P<0.05), and remarkable symptomatic improvement was noted in 14 patients among them during formoterol administration. These findings suggested that formoteol is a very effective agent in the treatment of patients with airway obstruction.
